Great that you’re curious about the Feldenkrais Method. The two lessons you can download have been carefully selected from the hundreds of lessons I’ve given over the years. They are often a starting point for people who come to me for individual sessions — because they can create so much space and relief. That’s why they’re also often the first thing I ask people to do at home.
Why these two lessons?
Many people seek help for complaints such as:
back pain
shoulder issues
neck tension
In all of these situations, the rib cage often plays a central role. When the rib cage is restricted, movements of the arms, legs, and head can’t be transmitted well. That’s why I chose two movements that ask for a twisting motion of the spine:
one lying on your side
one sitting
The lying lesson creates space in the back and rib cage, allowing movements to cooperate more easily again. You rediscover how arms and legs are connected through the torso.
These lessons are gentle, calm, and exploratory. They help your body release tension and discover new movement possibilities. Many people experience more freedom, easier breathing, and less pain after just one lesson.
