Group lesson

Theme of this semester: “Curiously exploring developmental movements.”

Last season we explored the mobility of the torso as the centre of all our movements. By finding more freedom there, movement often becomes lighter and easier.

We continue building on this foundation. We apply this natural mobility within developmental movements. We start small and simple, working with gravity. Gradually they become richer and more complex, while you learn to cooperate with gravity in an increasingly refined way.

The more time and attention you allow yourself in each class, the greater the effect. So: move slowly and attentively. It is a process of experiencing and discovering each movement as a new one.


Everyone who has been attending my classes for some time has already done these lessons at least once — and yet they can never be repeated too often.

Who it’s for

The lessons are for you if you are longing for:

You might be dealing with physical complaints, feel tense easily, or have the sense that your body keeps “holding you back.”

Or maybe you’re simply curious about how it could be different.

Fantastic, creative lessons. Tjitske has the art of letting the whole body move from a very small movement. It’s always a surprise to feel how the body is put together. For me, the work is relaxing and healing.

What you can expect

Each group class is different and invites you to explore. The movements are light, small, unusual, sometimes even surprisingly simple.
It’s precisely this unfamiliarity that helps your nervous system create new pathways, and that’s where change begins.

During the classes:

The words you hear help you feel into your bones and joints, and become aware of patterns that have often been automatic for years.
Then space emerges. Softness. Choice.

At the end of the class, you almost always stand or walk differently: lighter, more fluid, more grounded, more present within yourself.

Group classes on location – Atjehstraat, Utrecht

Weekly group classes in the Atjehstraat

  • Start: 5 January 2026
  • Duration: 1.5 hours (of which more than one hour is movement)
  • Maximum of 12 participants
  • Semester: 5 January – 19 June 2026 (20 classes)

After the class there is space to share experiences.

No classes on:

  • 16–20 February
  • 6–10 April
  • 27 April–1 May
  • Monday 25 May
  • Thursday 14 May

Class times

  • Monday: 17:30–19:00 (last class 15 June) in English
  • Thursday: 10:15–11:45 (last class 18 June)in Dutch

Classes take place with a minimum of 6 participants per group.

Fees – group classes (Atjehstraat)

Semester fee (payment in one instalment or two instalments; second instalment before 31 March 2026)

  • Fee A: €440 / 2 × €220
  • Fee B: €505 / 2 × €252.50

Single class:

  • Fee A: €23.10
  • Fee B: €26.25

Fee B: net monthly income above €1,700

In addition to the classes in the centre, there are also live Zoom classes Awareness Through Movement. These lessons are Dutch spoken only.

  • Thursday 20:00–21:30
  • 20 classes with the same structure as the group classes
  • Can be followed per class or per semester
  • No class on: 19 Feb; 9, 30 Apr; and 14 May 2026

Fees – Zoom classes

  • Semester fee: €400
    (payment in one instalment or two instalments of €200; second instalment before 31 March 2026)
  • Single class: €21
